Bonjour les choristes! TITANIUM Senior Students: Harmony Practise
Senior students, please practise alongside this track for the fête performance. Lyrics are below. We will revise the harmony in choir practise. It is important that you know both parts so that you don't get distracted by other singers during your performance. Looking forward to a great day. Make sure you stay by the stage after your class performance. We are going to rock it :-) TITANIUM
Please click the following audio player to listen to our version of "Titanium". This has been recorded so that you may practise at home.
This version only includes the MELODY (the main part that Sia sings). It is mostly for middle students, and some senior students. Other senior students will sing the HARMONY (mostly higher than this singing part), which we have started to learn and will finish learning next week. You can find the lyrics below. The words highlighted in bold are the ones most of the choir will be singing. The other lyrics are being sung by soloists (so if that's not you, you don't have to learn them!) You shout it out, But I can't hear a word you say You're talking loud, not saying much You criticize but all your bullets ricochet You shoot me down, but I get up
[Chorus:] I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose Fire away, fire away Ricochet, you take your aim Fire away, fire away You shoot me down but I won't fall I am titanium You shoot me down but I won't fall I am titanium
Cut me down But it's you who'll have further to fall Ghost town and haunted love Raise your voice, sticks and stones may break my bones I'm talking loud not saying much
[Chorus:] I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose Fire away, fire away Ricochet, you take your aim Fire away, fire away You shoot me down but I won't fall I am titanium You shoot me down but I won't fall I am titanium I am titanium I am titanium
Stone-heart, machine gun Firing at the ones who run Stone heart loves bulletproof glass
You shoot me down but I won't fall I am titanium You shoot me down but I won't fall I am titanium You shoot me down but I won't fall I am titanium You shoot me down but I won't fall I am titanium
LA MER
Please click the following audio player to listen to our version of "La Mer". This has been recorded so you may practise at home.
Please remember it is less than two weeks until the fête, and we need to know the lyrics before we perform! I have kept the melody of the song as simple as possible so that you may focus on learning the words to the three short verses. As we discussed in rehearsal, think of a few key words or images (such as "danser" for the first verse, "le ciel d'été" for the second, and "une chanson d'amour" for the third) to help you remember the lyrics. Bon courage and happy practising!
The lyrics are as follows: La mer Qu'on voit danser le long des golfes clairs A des reflets d'argent La mer Des reflets changeants Sous la pluie
La mer Au ciel d'été confond Ses blancs moutons Avec les anges si purs La mer bergère d'azur infinie
(solo)
La mer Les a bercés Le long des golfes clairs Et d'une chanson d'amour La mer A bercé mon cœur pour la vie
